Nauru Citizenship by Investment Overview

The Nauru Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Program (NECRCP/ECRCP) was established under the Nauru Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Act 2024 (Act No. 15 of 2024), and has since been amended by the Amendment Act 2025 (Act No. 50 of 2025) and the Amendment Regulations 2026 (Regulation No. 2 of 2026). It is one of the newest citizenship-by-investment programmes on Indohill's Global Matrix.

A limited-time promotional rate — the "Iruwa Initiative" — currently reduces the standard contribution for applications submitted before 30 June 2026.

Benefits of Nauru Citizenship by Investment

  • No travel to Nauru required at any stage of the application
  • No language or history test required
  • Spouse, children, parents, and grandparents can all be included in one application
  • The contribution genuinely funds national development initiatives — green energy, infrastructure, healthcare, housing, and sustainable tourism

Requirements

The main applicant must be over 18, hold a clean criminal record, and prove the legality of income sources; certain nationalities are excluded:

1. Standard Contribution

A standard principal-applicant contribution of $105,000, reflecting 2026 fee amendments effective from 3 February 2026. Each dependant aged 16 and above contributes an additional $2,000; minor dependants under 16 are exempt.

2. Iruwa Initiative (Promotional, Time-Limited)

A reduced contribution of $90,000 for applications submitted before 30 June 2026.

Procedure

The applicant submits documentation proving age, clean criminal record, and legal source of funds, alongside the qualifying contribution to Nauru's ECRCP. No interview, travel, or in-person requirement applies. Investors from Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Russia, Sudan, and Yemen are not eligible to apply.

Fees & Costs

Beyond the $105,000 (or promotional $90,000) contribution, applicants pay Nauru government processing fees and separate legal and due-diligence advisory fees. Indohill discloses the full statutory and legal fee breakdown for this programme, and every other programme we track, in the Global Matrix Marketplace fee breakdown tool before you commit.

Certain Nationalities Are Excluded

Investors from Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Russia, Sudan, and Yemen are not eligible to apply for Nauru citizenship under this programme. Indohill confirms eligibility by nationality before any client proceeds with an application.
